Gk 42: Surrendering to Life Cycles

Aww, the 42 has been such a fun key for me to contemplate  Even though I don’t have it activated in my chart, I still see this energy showing up in my life loud and clear

I’ve noticed a consistent pattern in my life: I often start projects with so much excitement ~ thanks GK 53

but I’ve always struggled with finishing them… or truly letting go when a cycle has clearly completed

The Aries Energy

At its lowest frequency, it gets super impulsive — jumping into projects with no plan and losing patience fast.

In Human Design, the 42 belongs to the Abstract Circuit. And honestly, the shadow of Expectation is a total killer

It tricks you into thinking “if I do this, I’ll get that.” But life in this circuit is unpredictable… you can’t force a happy ending. The more you expect a certain result, the more frustrated and disappointed you become.

I remember in my years as a banker, I would sit with clients and hear them constantly planning and waiting for the right moment:

the right amount of money,

the right time, or the perfect circumstances to finally make a move in their lives…

Richard describes it beautifully: this energy loves postponing our fulfillment , tricking us into believing that happiness is something to be found at the end of the rainbow

Our Bodies Run on 7 Year Cycles

Our bodies naturally renew themselves every 7 years. But the shadow of the 42 and its programming partner, the 32, makes us resist the endings we need to grow.

This hit me hard last year… After 21 years of marriage, exactly three full 7 year cycles…

I knew it was time to move on.

And let me tell you, familia… every time we hit that 7 year mark, we both felt it was over….

But instead, the relationship kept asking us to release old parts of ourselves. We had to face our fears, our attachments, our codependency ~ you name it.

That marriage was the best school we could’ve had.

After the third cycle, my body finally said: It’s time to move on, sister.

I’m writing this with tears in my eyes… Cuz I learned to love this guy like a brother, like the soul who signed up to walk this part of my evolution with me. I’m so grateful for the entire journey.

And even though we chose to part ways, there’s still so much love and care between us. We both understand that our paths simply needed to go in different directions.

These 7 year cycles are real… and sometimes honoring them means letting go of the known so we can make room for the new.

When we finally stop trying to make things go a certain way… we start flowing with life.

The moment we release our expectations and trust the bigger cycle, we stop fighting endings.

Every time an old part of us dies, it becomes a portal to rebirth

Yes, it can feel painful and scary… but that’s part of our evolution.

At the lower frequency, the 32 brings that deep ancestral fear of failure

Imagine how many beautiful visions and dreams never get born cuz this fear keeps them trapped in the mind

The mind starts obsessively calculating what’s safe vs what’s risky.

When we’re stuck in this frequency, familia, all our dreams get sacrificed to the endless what ifs…

What if I lose everything?, What if this relationship fails?, What if my project doesn’t work?

Ufff… the list goes on and on.

At the lowest frequency, the 42 traps us in Expectation — trying to plan with the head how long things should last and exactly how they should look

Together, these two energies can create a total disconnection from our heart, our body’s wisdom, and our intuition

When these two energies are balanced, they’re beautiful to witness

Here is when the 42 really shines, you get to see what their fuel  actually looks like.

I’ve seen people with the 42 in balance and it’s seriously hot

They go all in with their whole heart and soul, fully committed, without expectations, and they enjoy the entire journey, the ups, the downs, everything

And the 32..: It turns into this incredible instinct for value. These people can just feel what’s truly worth their time, energy, or money. …. They can smell a good opportunity a mile away… I’ve seen 32s in the finance world who are really good at spotting solid investments, their body literally knows

In my own life, I’ve noticed something really cool  when I partner with someone who has the 42, my chances of actually finishing a project go way up

My 44 can somehow smell a balanced 42 from a mile away  and immediately tells my 53… This is the one  because when my 53 feels it deeply in my heart, I’m not scared to start — I go all in

Just wanted to end this post by sharing something funny I was laughing the whole time watching my fingers fly across the keyboard, perfectly in sync with the beats of the music

My 12-22 is super acoustic, it gets moved by certain rhythms and sounds. The faster and stronger the beats, the faster the words flowed. When the music slowed down or paused… my fingers slowed down too  basically my writing flow runs on music. No beats = no flow
