Hello, My name is Héctor Hurtado. What started as a personal search for healing turned into a lifelong path of service.
Let me share my story with you… I was born in Chuquicamata, deep in Chile’s Atacama Desert.

Like most of us growing up in this 3D world, I was raised in a society where degrees and professional labels were the normal path. I trained as an architect and spent many years designing structures.

But life had other plans for me…

The Call of the Medicines
—————————————
In 2013, I took my first steps with sacred plant medicines in Chile. At that time, I was struggling with a serious health problem in my colon. I had tried many different things, but nothing seemed to work. That difficult situation pushed me to look beyond traditional Western medicine. That’s when I discovered plant medicine and joined a group of facilitators following the traditions of the Katukina and Noke Koi peoples from Acre, Brazil.

Working with Kambó and Ayahuasca opened a door I didn’t even know existed. During that retreat, I also healed my relationship with alcohol. It has now been 13 years since I’ve been sober.

Life in the Sacred Valley
—————————————
The following year, in 2014, I came to Peru’s Sacred Valley of the Incas to learn from a family that works with Ayahuasca.
What was supposed to be a short visit became my home.

I stayed, lived with them, and let the medicine teach me, day by day. In 2015, I traveled for the first time to the Nomanawa village in Acre. Sitting directly with the indigenous Kambó teachers created a strong and lasting bond.

Since then, I have returned to the village several times, always as a student.

Serving the Medicines
—————————————
By 2016, I began holding my own ceremonies offering Kambó and Ayahuasca sessions in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, and the United States. Over the years I have sat with many people through these powerful processes, always with deep respect for the traditions I was taught.

In 2024, I had the chance to serve as a facilitator and Shipibo translator at Soltara Healing Center in Costa Rica. That experience helped me understand even better the indigenous perspectives from both Brazil and Peru, and it strengthened the bridge I try to maintain between them.

Today
———
In 2026, I am still living and serving here in the Sacred Valley of Peru. My focus remains simple and clear: to offer these medicines in a safe, grounded, and respectful way, always honoring the wisdom of the indigenous teachers who have guided me along this path.

I bring to every circle more than a decade of experience along with humility, commitment, and a profound appreciation for the healing potential these plants carry when we approach them with care and respect. If you feel called to sit in ceremony, you are welcome.

I will be there holding the space with quiet presence and integrity.

With much respect,
Héctor
