Preparation
Your journey with plant medicine begins long before the first ceremony. Thoughtful preparation helps you arrive clear, grounded, and open to receive the healing that is waiting for you.
🥗 Physical Preparation & Diet
In the weeks leading up to the retreat, we encourage you to follow a simple and clean diet. This traditional preparation helps cleanse the body, reduce resistance, and enhance your sensitivity to the medicine.
- No alcohol or recreational drugs (at least 2 weeks before)
- Limit or avoid caffeine
- Eat whole, natural foods—fruits, vegetables, grains, light proteins
- Avoid processed foods, meats, spicy and greasy foods
- No sexual activity (ideally 3–7 days prior)
🧠 Emotional & Mental Preparation
Take time to reflect on your intentions. Journaling, meditation, and quiet self-inquiry can help prepare your inner space. Ask yourself:
- What do I hope to learn, heal, or release?
- What am I ready to surrender?
- How can I trust the process, even when it’s uncomfortable?
If strong emotions arise before the retreat, know that this is normal. The process often begins well before you arrive.
🌬️ Energetic & Spiritual Preparation
Avoid overstimulation in the days leading up to the retreat—reduce screen time, intense news, and chaotic environments. Spend time in nature, in silence, in meditation, in contemplation or in prayer.
We also suggest avoiding other spiritual ceremonies or strong energetic influences shortly before your arrival to keep your energy grounded and clear.
